We're looking for an experienced professional to join our client's team, playing a key role in ensuring the quality of suppliers’ business processes. This position focuses on the development and management of supplier capabilities to deliver reliable products that meet specified standards. You will be responsible for assessing supplier quality risks, managing escalated supply issues, and facilitating effective communication between internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting risk assessments aligned with new product introductions (NPI) and reviewing suppliers' capabilities.
- Creating and managing a critical component list to drive supplier selection and risk management strategies.
- Leading cross-functional meetings to timely identify and act upon risks, ensuring quality targets are met.
- Monitoring supplier performance trends through benchmarking and audits, assessing capabilities against product, cost, and timing requirements.
- Coordinating supplier quality investigations, guiding suppliers toward continuous improvement while documenting findings for future reference.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree or equivalent experience, alongside a minimum of five years in a quality or engineering role. Key competencies and experiences include:
- Familiarity with quality management system standards such as ISO9001 and ISO13485.
- Experience in conducting internal quality audits and a strong grasp of problem-solving methodologies.
- Strong communication skills combined with the ability to foster strategic partnerships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in project management, attention to detail, and the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Experience in medical devices or the automotive industry is a plus.
Language and Work Requirements
- Fluency in English is mandatory, Dutch is preffered.
- The role involves occasional short travel commitments, typically not exceeding a week at a time, and requires onsite presence three days per week.
- Continuous training in technical and manufacturing knowledge will be facilitated to ensure personal and professional development.
