RPG Developer

We're seeking a skilled RPG iSeries Developer to join our client's innovative IT team, dedicated to pushing boundaries in the retail industry. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, progressive environment and is eager to drive success in various IT projects.

As a key member of the development team, you will:

• Analyze and collaborate with other departments to translate business needs into technical implementations.
• Develop and refine applications on the IBM iSeries platform, tailoring solutions that enhance departmental operations across warehousing, logistics, sales, purchasing, and accounting.
• Provide ongoing support and training to departments post-implementation, ensuring efficient use of the applications.
• Engage in the continuous search for technical innovations that can benefit the business.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed analyses in cooperation with stakeholder departments.
• Design, develop, and implement solutions on the IBM iSeries platform.
• Support and train end-users for optimum utilization of implemented solutions.
• Troubleshoot and modify applications as needed to meet business requirements.
• Explore and integrate new technologies to stay ahead of industry trends.

Ideal Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or minimum 5 years of experience
• Proficiency in RPG, Rdi, and DB2; knowledge of Webservices is an asset.
• Familiarity with XML, JSON, SQL Server, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent initiative and hands-on capability with a focus on continuous improvement of business processes.
• Effective communication skills, fluency in English and Dutch, and the ability to work well in a team.
