SAP Authorization Consultant

We’re looking for an experienced SAP Authorization Consultant to join our client’s team and play a key role in securing and optimizing a complex SAP landscape. This is a high-impact assignment combining operational support and a strategic S/4HANA transformation program. The Role

As a senior consultant, you will take ownership of SAP authorization design, user access governance, and security architecture across both legacy and next-generation environments. You will operate at the intersection of business, IT, and audit teams to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient access management.

This assignment combines two core dimensions:

• Ongoing support and optimization of an existing SAP ecosystem (including ECC, BW/BW on HANA, CRM, Fiori, sourcing and cloud HR platforms)

• Active contribution to an SAP S/4HANA implementation program, including modern cloud security components

Key Responsibilities

SAP Security & Operations

• Manage user administration and role-based access controls across multiple SAP systems

• Maintain and optimize authorization concepts

• Resolve authorization-related incidents and perform periodic access reviews

• Analyze access risks and Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts

• Support internal and external audits

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional SAP teams

S/4HANA & Cloud Security Implementation

• Design and implement authorization concepts within SAP S/4HANA

• Create, test, and maintain SAP roles across modules

• Configure and maintain Fiori Launchpad (catalogs, groups, spaces, pages)

• Design and manage BTP roles, role collections, and scopes

• Set up and maintain XSUAA and IAS/IPS integrations

• Maintain roles for CAP/UI5 applications to ensure secure cloud access

• Work closely with business process owners, functional consultants, and auditors to ensure SoD compliance

The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 8 years of proven experience as an SAP Authorization Consultant (role design, user administration, access control)

• At least 2 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA security architecture

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Fiori authorization concepts

• Experience with Segregation of Duties (SoD) and compliance frameworks (minimum 1 year)

• Solid background in user administration, access monitoring, and audit reporting

• Experience with SAP GRC Access Control and/or SAP Cloud IAG is a strong asset

• Exposure to SAP BTP Administration or Security is a plus

• Professional fluency in Dutch and/or French, plus English, with the ability to interact confidently with both technical and business stakeholders

• Willingness to work onsite in Brussels at least 2 days per week (flexible scheduling)
