SAP Authorization Consultant

Function

We're looking for an experienced SAP Authorisation Consultant to join our client's SAP team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimising SAP security, authorisations and access governance across a complex SAP landscape. You will contribute both to day-to-day operational support and to strategic transformation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA implementation projects. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain SAP authorisations across a diverse SAP environment.
• Perform user administration, role creation and role maintenance activities.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve authorisation-related incidents and access issues.
• Collaborate with functional, technical and support teams to ensure secure and efficient access management.
• Conduct periodic security reviews and access validation activities.
• Analyse risks related to user access and Segregation of Duties (SoD).
• Support internal and external audit activities and ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, focusing on SAP security architecture and authorisation concepts.
• Partner with functional consultants to design, build, test and maintain SAP roles.
• Configure and maintain SAP Fiori Launchpad catalogues and authorisation structures.
• Work closely with business process owners and auditors to ensure appropriate access controls and SoD compliance.
• Support the continuous improvement of SAP security governance, processes and standards.

Your Profile

• Minimum 8 years of proven experience as an SAP Authorisation Consultant.
• Strong hands-on experience in:
  • Role design and maintenance
  • User administration
  • Access control and security governance
  • SAP authorisation concepts
• Minimum 2 years of experience with SAP Fiori authorisation concepts and security configuration.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with SAP S/4HANA security architecture.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Segregation of Duties (SoD) and compliance frameworks.
• Experience working with complex SAP landscapes, including technologies such as:
  • SAP ECC
  • SAP BW / BW on HANA
  • SAP CRM
  • SAP Fiori
  • SAP Sourcing
  • SAP Ariba
  • SAP SuccessFactors
• Experience supporting audits, compliance activities and access reviews.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to security risks.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA role and catalogue design.
• Experience with SAP GRC Access Control and/or SAP Cloud IAG.
• Experience with SAP IDM and SAP Cloud IAG for business role management, access requests and assignments.
• Experience using ServiceNow and Jira for ticketing, change management and operational support.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) administration and/or BTP security is considered a strong advantage.
• Experience with access monitoring, audit reporting and security governance processes.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience working in English and Dutch and/or French within a business environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Comfortable participating in workshops, meetings, audits and documentation activities.
• Willingness to work predominantly on-site at the client's location, depending on project requirements.
