SAP Functional Expert

Function

We're looking for a Senior Functional Expert to join our client's Content & Automation team and play a key role in delivering enterprise content management solutions integrated with SAP environments. This position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale digital transformation initiatives, combining functional expertise, solution design, stakeholder engagement, and project leadership within a complex multilingual environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for the OpenText xECM for SAP platform, including OpenText Content Server, Archive Server, Directory Services, and related solutions.
• Perform in-depth business and functional analyses, translating business requirements into high-quality functional designs and solution proposals.
• Lead workshops with stakeholders, gather requirements, and present solution recommendations in multilingual environments.
• Support and mentor junior team members in analysis activities, effort estimation, planning, and project delivery.
• Contribute to governance activities, including functional and technical assessments, risk analysis, impact assessments, and evaluation of new features and applications.
• Manage and deliver smaller projects within Agile environments.
• Allocate part of your time to incident management, service requests, and operational support activities.

The Ideal Candidate

• Master's degree in IT, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Extensive hands-on experience with OpenText xECM for SAP and the OpenText Content Server Suite.
• Strong knowledge of SAP environments, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and integrations with OpenText solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in translating business requirements into functional specifications, solution designs, and architecture deliverables.
• Experience working with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or similar frameworks.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops, deliver training sessions, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong technical understanding of the OpenText xECM for SAP platform, including REST API integrations and technical solution assessments.
• Extensive experience with SAP Fiori integrations and SAP ArchiveLink.
• Hands-on experience with OpenText Enterprise Scan and OpenText Document Pipelines.
• Background in complex, large-scale operational environments where document management and process automation are business-critical.
• Proven experience delivering workshops and training sessions in multilingual settings.
• OpenText xECM certification is highly desirable.
