SAP HCM & Time Specialist

Function

We’re looking for an experienced SAP HCM & Time Specialist to join our client’s team and take ownership of the functional and technical support of HR applications related to Time Management and Payroll. You’ll work in a complex enterprise environment, supporting critical HR processes while contributing to application improvements, integrations and change initiatives. This is a hands-on role combining functional analysis, SAP configuration, incident management and close collaboration with HR stakeholders and IT teams.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end functional and technical support for SAP HCM solutions covering Time Management, Payroll and time registration.
• Analyse incidents, requests and business requirements, identify root causes and design appropriate solutions.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications and perform SAP HCM configuration and customisation.
• Manage and coordinate changes, bug fixes and small enhancements, ensuring quality, stakeholder alignment and successful adoption.
• Plan and coordinate application releases, including scope definition, delivery, testing, communication and quality assurance.
• Work closely with HR process owners, key users and IT teams to ensure solutions fit business processes and user expectations.
• Support and troubleshoot integrations between SAP HCM and external or operational planning applications using APIs, SAP PI/PO, IDocs, ESB and SAP BTP.
• Proactively improve application support, processes, training and communication while bringing relevant best practices and technology trends into the environment.

Technical Profile

You bring extensive experience with SAP HCM, particularly in Time Management and Payroll, within large and complex organisations. Strong knowledge of the following areas is expected:

• SAP HCM PA/OM and Time Management, including Negative, Positive and Quota calculations.
• Time registration through SAP HCM, SAP Portal, Web Dynpro/Fiori and mobile devices.
• Employee Self-Service and Manager Self-Service across SAP Portal, Fiori and mobile channels.
• SAP Payroll and payroll-related integrations.
• Workforce management, planning and scheduling solutions, including APS/Goals Systems.
• Integration technologies including APIs, SAP PI/PO, SAP IDocs, ESB and SAP BTP.
• Functional analysis, SAP HCM configuration and troubleshooting of functional and technical issues.

Ideal Candidate

You have 10+ years of relevant experience as an SAP Time Specialist, ideally gained in large Belgian organisations with more than 10,000 employees and a mixed workforce. You have at least 10 years of experience maintaining and supporting SAP HR modules and integrations, including substantial hands-on experience with workforce management solutions and SAP HCM integrations. You are comfortable taking ownership of complex changes and incidents, working with both technical and business stakeholders, and translating complex requirements into practical solutions. You communicate fluently in Dutch or French (C2 in one and at least B2 in the other) and have a minimum B2 level of English. The role requires a minimum of 3 days per week on-site.
