SAP Platform Security Consultant
Function
We’re looking for an SAP Platform Security Consultant to join our client’s team and support a critical initiative focused on strengthening access governance across their SAP landscape. You’ll play a key role in improving emergency access procedures, reducing risk exposure, and ensuring business continuity within a complex, multi-system environment.
Working alongside both internal experts and external specialists, you’ll help shape secure processes that support a reliable and future-ready digital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will help analyse and improve how emergency access is used across SAP platforms, ensuring it is restricted to truly exceptional scenarios while maintaining operational stability. Your work will include:

Analysing current emergency user usage and identifying why such access is required

Determining where emergency users are necessary and where processes can shift to standard dialog users

Performing gap analyses on missing authorisations needed for standard user execution

Supporting the design and implementation of an improved emergency access procedure

Contributing to security improvements that minimise privileged access risks

Documenting findings and recommendations clearly for stakeholders
Desired Profile & Expertise
Our client is seeking someone with strong SAP security knowledge and the ability to translate technical findings into practical improvements. Ideal candidates will bring:

Deep understanding of legacy emergency access procedures in SAP

Strong expertise in task-based and function-based authorisation concepts

Solid experience analysing SAP user statistics and access patterns

Hands-on knowledge of ABAP authorisation concepts across S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SRM and CRM environments

Experience working with ticketing tools such as Jira

Strong documentation and communication skills

A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
Languages: English required, plus Dutch, French, or German.
