SAP-PS Consultant

Function

For the technical maintenance site in Vorst, we are seeking an experienced SAP consultant who will play a key role in supporting and optimizing SAP-related processes. This position acts as the central link between the local workshop teams and external partners, ensuring smooth integration of applications and efficient use of SAP within a highly regulated maintenance environment. The role combines hands-on system configuration, user support, training, and coordination with third-party interfaces.

Role & Responsibilities

The consultant will take ownership of all SAP activities within the workshop, including configuration, customization, and enhancement of existing processes. Responsibilities include:

• Managing the SAP solution landscape for the workshop and aligning it with operational needs.

• Acting as the main point of contact for integration flows with external parties such as SNCF systems (e.g., SPID, Tigre, VESPA).

• Supporting, training, and guiding a diverse set of local users, ranging from planners to technicians.

• Ensuring correct implementation of ECM-related requirements within SAP.

• Serving as the local subject-matter expert for all workshop applications and coordinating with central IT teams when needed.

Conformity Criteria

• Deep expertise in SAP ECC PM, PP, PS and SAP S/4HANA EAM.

• SAP S/4HANA Asset Management certification (business processes and configuration).

• Master’s degree.

• At least ten years of experience in SAP MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) processes.

• Strong knowledge of end-to-end business flows in high-speed train maintenance, supply chain operations, and ECM regulations.

• Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English at C1 level.

• On-site presence in the Vorst maintenance workshop for three days per week, with two days remote work.

Evaluation Criteria

• Practical experience in preparing, deploying, and supporting SAP and integrated processes within NMBS workshops.

• Background in SAP project management, change management, coaching of operational users, and delivering training across hierarchical levels.

• Strong understanding of industry trends, innovations, and relevant regulations.

• Experience in integrating SNCF operational processes with NMBS systems (Tigre, SPID interface).

• Solid knowledge of SAP PP, PM, PS, and EAM in both ECC and S/4HANA environments.

• Familiarity with the S/4HANA Activate methodology.

• Experience working in high-compliance industries and automating processes according to industrial standards.
