SAP S/4 HANA Technical Quality Assurance Expert

Function

We're looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Technical Quality Assurance Expert to join our client's SAP Center of Excellence and play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, and technical integrity of enterprise SAP solutions. This position combines technical leadership, quality assurance, solution design, and stakeholder collaboration, making it ideal for a senior SAP professional who enjoys bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation in a complex SAP landscape.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and architectural standards.
• Perform technical quality reviews of custom developments, enhancements, integrations, workflows, interfaces, and forms.
• Validate compliance with coding standards, security requirements, performance guidelines, and maintainability best practices.
• Support data-related initiatives, including data modelling, migration activities, validation processes, and data quality controls.
• Collaborate closely with functional teams to translate business needs into scalable and sustainable technical solutions.
• Assess the technical feasibility and impact of functional changes and enhancement requests.
• Maintain high-quality technical documentation and ensure traceability of system changes.
• Contribute to governance, compliance, and quality assurance processes while mentoring colleagues and sharing technical expertise.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience analysing functional requirements and translating them into SAP technical solutions.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience within SAP environments, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong expertise in SAP UI5/Fiori development and advanced Object-Oriented ABAP.
• Practical experience with SAP S/4HANA technologies, including CDS Views, OData Services, and Restful ABAP Programming (RAP).
• Experience working with ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.
• Strong knowledge of SAP integration technologies, web services, and data exchange protocols such as SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices with a focus on reusable, maintainable, and high-quality code.
• Experience with ABAP Workbench, Workflow, IDocs, ALV Grid, ABAP Objects, and Web Dynpro.
• Fluent in English and either Dutch or French.
• Available to work on-site in Brussels at least two days per week.

Preferred Experience

• Deep technical expertise in one or more SAP modules combined with experience delivering enterprise-scale SAP solutions.
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes and the ability to align technical quality assurance activities with operational requirements.
• Experience reviewing architecture designs, custom developments, and complex integration scenarios.
• Coaching, mentoring, or technical leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and drive effective solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, including the ability to challenge technical approaches constructively and uphold quality standards across teams.
