SAP S/4HANA EWM Consultant

Function

We’re looking for an SAP S/4HANA EWM Consultant to join our client’s team and contribute to a large-scale greenfield transformation program within a complex logistics environment. In this role, you will support, enhance, and help redesign the SAP warehouse management solution that keeps critical rolling stock operations running. You will work within a multidisciplinary SAP S/4HANA program focused on modernizing end-to-end supply chain and logistics processes.

Role & Responsibilities

As an SAP EWM Consultant, you will act as a key functional and technical expert within the S/4HANA logistics stream:

• Functional & Solution Design
  • Advise the business on SAP best practices for warehouse and supply chain management
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications
  • Support the design and evolution of SAP EWM solutions in a greenfield S/4HANA context
• Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Organize and lead technical and unit testing activities upon request of senior consultants
  • Execute integration and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of test activities in tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Technical Collaboration & Development Support
  • Act as first point of contact for ABAP developers
  • Understand and review technical specifications and perform debugging when required
  • Support integration between SAP EWM and automated warehouse systems
• Implementation & Deployment
  • Support preparation for production go-live and transition activities
  • Contribute to hypercare and post-go-live stabilization
  • Ensure smooth deployment of new functionalities within the logistics environment
• Training & Knowledge Transfer
  • Develop training materials for key users and end users
  • Deliver “train-the-trainer” sessions and support internal IT teams
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure long-term adoption of the solution

Profile – The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in SAP SCM environments
• Proven track record in Warehouse Management consulting
• At least 2 full lifecycle implementations in SAP EWM
• Strong ABAP understanding, including ability to read, interpret, and debug code
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM integration, including automated warehouse environments
• Strong knowledge of at least one additional SAP module (MM or SD preferred)
• Experience with SAP integration technologies such as EDI, OData, or CIG
• Familiarity with serialization and equipment handling in S/4HANA EWM
• Experience with testing and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Knowledge of SAP ECC WM, SAP TM integration, or mobile warehouse UI solutions is a plus

Language & Practical Requirements

• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English (spoken and written)
• On-site presence required on selected days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) at client location in Belgium

Experience & Expertise

• Strong background in SAP EWM customization and warehouse process design
• Experience in complex logistics environments with automated warehouse systems
• Proven ability to support end-to-end SAP implementations, including testing, deployment, and hypercare
• Ability to work closely with both functional and technical teams in a highly integrated SAP landscape
