SAP Senior Integration Specialist

Function

We’re looking for a seasoned SAP Integration Consultant to join our client’s dynamic team and play a key role in shaping modern, cloud-based integration landscapes.
In this role, you will act as a technical expert in SAP Integration Suite, designing, building, and managing robust integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems. You will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and future-proof integration solutions, while also contributing to best practices and knowledge sharing within the team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and requirements and translate them into technical integration designs.

• Design, configure, and maintain integration scenarios using SAP Cloud Integration for both cloud and on-premise environments.

• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to develop integration architectures aligned with business strategy.

• Create and maintain technical documentation on integration standards, flows, interfaces, and best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, including performance tuning, optimization, and migrations.

• Coach and support less experienced colleagues and act as a trusted sparring partner for management.

• Stay up to date with developments in the SAP ecosystem, particularly SAP BTP, API Management, and cloud technologies.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business IT, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite.

• Experience with SAP PI/PO and SAP back-end technologies (IDoc/XI) is a strong asset.

• Strong knowledge of SAP BTP, API Management, OData, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, and authentication mechanisms.

• Experience with cloud integrations involving platforms such as SuccessFactors, Ariba, CDC, or C4C.

• Proactive, independent, team-oriented, and eager to learn.

• Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French.

What Success Looks Like

• Proven ability to analyze and solve complex integration challenges, with concrete examples of optimizations or innovative solutions.

• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly communication for non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong hands-on expertise in designing and maintaining iFlows, mappings, and adapters in production environments.

• Demonstrated experience with SAP BTP and cloud-based integrations between SAP and external systems.

• Solid experience with SAP API Management, including security configurations such as OAuth 2.0, certificates, and SAML.

• Practical experience integrating with SAP back-end and legacy systems (S/4HANA, ECC) using IDoc, RFC, SOAP, or OData.

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills using monitoring and logging tools within SAP Integration Suite and BTP.

• Willingness to be on-site at our client’s location in Brussels at least two days per week.
