SAP Technical Expert

We’re looking for a SAP Technical Expert to join our client’s team, playing a pivotal role in the evolution of CRM systems within a large-scale, enterprise environment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise and functional collaboration, contributing to robust, future-proof SAP solutions while ensuring high-quality application support.
Role
As a SAP Technical Expert, you will act as a key contributor to the development, integration, and optimization of SAP CRM applications and related data flows. You will work closely with functional analysts, developers, and architects to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, while also supporting and enhancing an existing complex system landscape.
Responsibilities
- Design & development
- Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs
- Develop and enhance SAP CRM solutions, including customizations and integrations
- Manage interfaces with legacy systems using technologies such as SAP CPI and IDocs
- Application support & continuous improvement
- Provide high-quality functional and technical support on a daily basis
- Analyze incidents and change requests, proposing effective and sustainable solutions
- Contribute to platform improvements, consolidation, and performance optimization
- End-to-end delivery
- Take full ownership of developments, enhancements, and bug fixes from design to deployment
- Ensure code quality and promote best practices for reusable and maintainable solutions
- Architecture & collaboration
- Act as a technical point of contact for architecture-related topics
- Maintain a clear overview of the system landscape and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Profile
- Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP CRM, with strong technical depth
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with SAPUI5 / Fiori development
- Strong expertise in BSP, BOL/GENIL, CRM Web UI, and upgrade-related transactions
- Solid experience with ABAP (Workbench, OO, WebDynpro, Workflow, IDOC, ALV Grid)
- Proven experience with integration technologies and data services (Web Services, OData, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON)
- Familiarity with Eclipse (ADT) and modern SAP development tools
- Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA is a plus
- Strong knowledge of best practices for clean, reusable code
Soft skills & additional requirements
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to understand and align with CRM business processes
- Effective communicator, capable of translating technical topics into business language
- Team-oriented mindset with experience in collaboration or coaching
- Fluent in French and/or Dutch, with a good command of English
- Willingness to work on-site in Brussels at least 2 days per week
