SAP Technology Expert & Advisor

Function

We’re looking for a seasoned SAP Technology Expert to support our client as a strategic advisor on a part-time basis. In this high-level advisory role, you will guide our client’s SAP technology landscape with a strong focus on both current capabilities and future evolution. You will provide direction across SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, cTMS, SAP on Private Cloud environments, and contribute to the success of a growing RISE transformation journey.

The Role & Responsibilities

As a trusted technical advisor, you will translate SAP’s evolving strategy into pragmatic recommendations aligned with business and IT objectives. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing strategic guidance on SAP’s roadmap, cloud-first direction, clean core principles, AI and automation trends

• Advising on architecture across ECC and S/4HANA landscapes, hybrid models, integrations, extensibility, and lifecycle management

• Supporting governance and positioning of SAP BTP, including use-case validation and service selection based on business context

• Advising on setup, optimization, and lifecycle positioning of SAP Solution Manager and SAP Cloud ALM across implementation, testing, and operations

• Delivering expertise in SAP Basis Components, including installations, upgrades, performance tuning, stability, and security

• Supporting and advising on RISE transformation initiatives, including migration strategy, governance models, operational responsibilities, security, transport management, and monitoring

• Guiding teams and stakeholders through complex SAP-related challenges with structured analysis and realistic solution design

Profile & Experience

Our client is seeking a senior SAP professional with:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business IT, Computer Science, or a related field

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in complex SAP environments

• Demonstrated, up-to-date knowledge of SAP’s strategic roadmap and ecosystem developments

• Strong experience with SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, cTMS, SAP Basis, and RISE environments

• Deep architectural understanding of classical SAP landscapes and cloud/hybrid extensions

• Excellent communication skills in English, plus Dutch or French

• Availability to work on-site at least one day per week
