Function
We're looking for a dynamic individual to join our client's IT Production Data team, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving the agile transformation of their data services. Your focus will be on empowering a high-performing team, ensuring the delivery of value, and promoting expertise across various entities.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Agile Team Facilitation:
- Lead Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and address impediments to maximize team efficiency.
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration, autonomy, and proactive problem-solving.
- Facilitate transparent communication with all stakeholders, including IT and business lines.
- IT Production Data Advocacy:
- Promote the strategic value of data services across the bank, focusing on data quality, resilience, and governance.
- Identify cross-team synergies and improvement opportunities aligned with company priorities.
- Represent the team in workshops and presentations to showcase achievements and roadmaps.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Champion Agile and DevOps best practices, including scalability, CI/CD, and metrics-driven decisions.
- Work collaboratively with Product Owners and technical teams to refine processes like backlog prioritization and risk management.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Technical Skills:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master with a preference for PSM/CSM certification.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Familiarity with data environments, including databases, ETL pipelines, and IT production practices (performance, security, incident management).
- Soft Skills:
- Proactive mindset with a history of independently driving initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
- A pedagogical approach to explaining complex concepts and uniting teams around shared goals.
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in banking/financial services or large-scale data projects.
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as GDPR, BCBS 239, and ISO 27001.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English is mandatory, along with proficiency in Dutch. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
Working Environment
Our client embraces a flexible work arrangement, expecting approximately 50% of the working time to be spent onsite and 50% remote. Agile teams are cross-functional, comprising all necessary disciplines, where members are encouraged to contribute beyond their primary roles to achieve sprint goals.
