Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer

Function

We’re looking for a senior Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer to join our client’s team and support a portfolio of high-impact, long-term digital initiatives. In this role, you will work across multiple agile teams, helping them deliver complex solutions while ensuring consistent application of agile principles within a structured environment.

Role & Responsibilities

You will act as a key facilitator and coach across several teams operating within different but interconnected domains:

• Support multiple Scrum teams working on strategic, multi-year programs
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure smooth delivery cycles
• Guide teams in applying Agile and, where relevant, Scaled Agile (SAFe) practices
• Align team activities with broader program planning cycles and release objectives
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Project Managers provided by our client’s stakeholders
• Ensure consistent and pragmatic application of methodologies, balancing structure with agility
• Act as a bridge between agile teams and more traditional governance frameworks
• Identify and remove impediments while fostering continuous improvement
• Use tools such as Jira and Confluence to support transparency and collaboration

Profile & Experience

Our client is seeking a highly experienced professional who combines strong methodological expertise with a pragmatic mindset:

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master and/or Release Train Engineer in complex environments
• Strong expertise in Agile methodologies and hands-on experience with Scrum
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and its application in program-level planning
• Experience coaching teams and stakeholders in Agile practices
• Previous exposure to structured project management frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2) is a plus
• Experience working in regulated or public sector environments is highly valued
• Ability to navigate organizational complexity and influence diverse stakeholders
