We're looking for an experienced Security Architect to support our client's cybersecurity governance and architecture initiatives. In this consulting role, you'll combine strategic advisory responsibilities with hands-on involvement in security projects, governance activities, audits, and incident support. This is an excellent opportunity to help shape and strengthen the security landscape within a complex enterprise environment.

The Role

As a Security Architect, you will act as a trusted advisor and technical expert, helping to ensure security is embedded across projects and governance processes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing security architecture expertise across ongoing security programmes and initiatives.
• Advising stakeholders on security-related topics, supplier assessments, audits, and ad hoc security matters.
• Supporting ISMS governance activities, including quarterly reviews, reporting, and security maturity assessments.
• Contributing to security policy reviews and audit preparation.
• Defining, reviewing, and implementing security architecture strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Providing expert support during security incidents and other business-critical situations.

Your Profile

We're looking for a security professional with a strong architectural mindset and extensive technical expertise.

• Proven experience as a Security Architect or in a similar security architecture role.
• Previous hands-on experience in technical cybersecurity positions, such as Security Engineer or Security Architect.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary security projects.
• Strong knowledge of security architecture principles and conceptual design.
• Familiarity with NIS2, CyFun, and information security governance frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Knowledge of data modelling and software development methodologies.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise security architecture strategies.
• Experience with OT/ICS environments, including SCADA and PLC technologies, is considered an asset.
• Experience within regulated or critical infrastructure environments is an advantage.
• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer certification is a plus.
• Fluent Dutch (CEFR C2).

Assignment Details

This is a consulting assignment offering a flexible working model with a limited but recurring on-site presence, typically one to two days per month, complemented by remote support as required. You'll provide expert guidance across governance activities, projects, supplier interactions, audits, and incident response, making a tangible impact on our client's cybersecurity maturity.
