We are seeking a Cyber Security Expert to support our client's compliance efforts with the NIS-2 regulation. This position offers the chance to contribute to a critical infrastructure project within the energy sector, ensuring sustainability, reliability, and innovation in a rapidly evolving landscape. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will play a vital role in securing assets and operations while driving the energy transition forward.
Key Responsibilities

Compliance Coordination:
- Lead efforts to align the client's cyber security practices with the NIS-2 regulation.
- Develop and oversee a compliance plan with clear milestones and deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet regulatory requirements effectively.

Security Assessments & Incident Management:
- Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls.
- Adapt and implement an incident response plan aligned with NIS-2 requirements.

Training & Awareness:
- Raise awareness among employees about cyber security practices and NIS-2 standards.
- Organize workshops and seminars to keep staff updated on security trends.

Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of compliance activities, assessments, and incidents.
- Prepare regular updates for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Your Profile

Education & Certification:
- Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Business Management, or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO, NISP).

Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in cyber security, particularly regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to manage compliance projects and align with industry standards like NIS-2.

Skills & Competencies:
- Technical proficiency in cyber security principles and tools.
- Strong project management and coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ethical judgment.
- Adaptability to evolving regulatory requirements and threats.

Languages:
- Proficient in English, with knowledge of French or Dutch being highly desirable.
