Security Project Manager & Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Security Engineer / Project Manager to join our client’s digital transformation journey. In this strategic and hands-on role, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end security initiatives across complex enterprise environments, combining technical expertise with strong project delivery capabilities.

You will act as a trusted advisor within a modern digital ecosystem, helping to strengthen and mature cybersecurity practices across infrastructure, software development, and operational technology environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a security professional who enjoys balancing strategy, implementation, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Security Project Delivery

• Lead and deliver security projects from initiation to implementation and handover
• Define project plans, timelines, scope, budgets, and execution strategies
• Coordinate stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners where required
• Ensure security-by-design principles are embedded throughout project lifecycles
• Combine project leadership with hands-on technical implementation when needed

Security Operations & Process Improvement

• Analyze, define, and improve security processes, procedures, and controls
• Translate security policies into practical operational workflows and guidelines
• Identify structural improvements based on incidents, risk assessments, and lessons learned
• Contribute to proactive security posture management and continuous optimization

Technical Security Expertise

• Work with modern enterprise security technologies including Microsoft Defender, Entra ID / Active Directory, and Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Evaluate, configure, and optimize security platforms and tooling
• Support troubleshooting, incident analysis, and resolution of complex security challenges
• Advise teams on secure architectures, technical implementations, and mitigation strategies

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in both security project management and technical security engineering
• Strong background within enterprise IT and infrastructure environments
• Broad experience as a System Engineer combined with deep cybersecurity knowledge
• Solid understanding of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS Controls, ISO27001, and Cyber Fundamentals
• Familiarity with compliance and audit environments; knowledge of NIS2 is considered a strong asset
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Hands-on mentality combined with strategic insight and a strong focus on delivery and continuous improvement
