Senior BI Specialist

Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic Senior BI Specialist to enhance their team. As an expert in Business Intelligence (BI) within a Microsoft technology stack, you will play a pivotal role in developing and managing BI solutions that empower business users with self-service analytics. You will support the creation of reports and analytics through an innovative workbench environment consisting of a data warehouse and OLAP cubes, tailored to meet the needs of supervisory teams. Your contributions will focus on enriching the BI environment with capabilities that are generic, reusable, and maintainable.

The successful candidate will:

• Develop, test, and manage BI solutions, utilizing Power BI technology.
• Collaborate closely with business users to understand and fulfill their requirements.
• Coach and train users on the BI workbench for report and graph creation.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for requirements, design, technical artifacts, and user manuals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and technology solutions that enhance operations.
• Participate in project planning and estimation efforts, as well as in status meetings.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a BI Analyst or BI Developer in a Microsoft BI production environment.
• Proficiency in developing reports using SQL Server 2019 or higher, Power BI, and SSAS cubes for self-service capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data integration processes.
• A track record of leading business information projects emphasizing data integration, quality, and user experience.
• Experience in coaching and training end users in BI tools.
• A Microsoft MCP certificate or equivalent is advantageous.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong general skills, including:

• Fluency in French or Dutch, with an understanding of both languages and English.
• Exceptional listening, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• An analytical, structured, and creative mindset.
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
