Senior Business Analys & Solution Architect

We're looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst – Solution Architect to join our client's technology team and contribute to the reliability, optimization, and continuous improvement of critical business and communication solutions.
In this strategic role, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams, developers, infrastructure specialists, and technical experts. You will transform business needs into secure, scalable, and sustainable solutions while contributing to application architecture, system integration, and digital evolution initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Analyst – Solution Architect, you will combine business analysis expertise with strong architectural capabilities to design, optimize, and support end-to-end solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Business Analysis & Coordination
- Analyze, challenge, and formalize business requirements and operational needs.
- Translate business and technical requirements into clear functional specifications.
- Perform impact analyses, feasibility studies, risk assessments, and process optimization activities.
- Define current and target processes (AS-IS / TO-BE) and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure solution alignment.
- Support testing, validation, deployment, change management, and user adoption activities.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, technical documentation, procedures, user guides, test plans, and support materials.
- Ensure application stability, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Solution Architecture & Technical Design
- Design end-to-end solution architectures aligned with business objectives, enterprise standards, and technical constraints.
- Define application, data, integration, and process architectures for new and existing solutions.
- Produce architecture deliverables such as solution designs, diagrams, integration flows, sequence diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Design and validate integrations involving APIs, authentication mechanisms, databases, middleware, and external platforms.
- Define and challenge non-functional requirements related to security, availability, performance, scalability, resilience, maintainability, and auditability.
- Evaluate architectural options, technologies, and integration patterns by assessing feasibility, risks, costs, and long-term sustainability.
- Support architecture reviews, technology roadmaps, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), Proofs of Technology (PoTs), and technical feasibility assessments.
- Provide technical guidance throughout the development lifecycle and ensure adherence to architectural principles and engineering best practices.
- Contribute to solution decisions involving cloud technologies, microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, databases, automation platforms, and DevOps/CI-CD practices.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted advisor by balancing business objectives with technical and architectural considerations.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Facilitate decision-making by presenting architectural options, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations.
- Promote knowledge sharing and contribute to the improvement of architecture, development, and operational practices.
- Work effectively within multilingual and multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating autonomy, initiative, and leadership.
Required Profile
The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Solution Architect, Technical Business Analyst, Application Architect, or a similar role involving solution design, system integration, and stakeholder management.
You bring:
- Strong knowledge of application architecture, enterprise systems, system integration, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proven experience working closely with development teams, DevOps, infrastructure specialists, and business stakeholders.
- Experience designing and documenting complex solutions, including architecture models, process diagrams, technical specifications, and integration designs.
- Solid understanding of modern architecture principles, including cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and integration patterns.
- Experience assessing technical solutions, emerging technologies, and architectural alternatives through feasibility studies and PoCs.
- Knowledge of telecom environments is a strong asset, including:
- Mobile networks (2G/3G/4G/5G)
- VoIP, SIP, and IMS technologies
- IP data communication
Additional strengths include:
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Familiarity with modelling tools such as BPMN and UML.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a pragmatic approach.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in complex environments.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Fluency in French or Dutch, with a good understanding of the other language.
- Good written and spoken technical English.
