We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our client’s procurement team within a dynamic and highly regulated environment. This position is ideal for a procurement professional who combines strong expertise in public procurement legislation with excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth execution of procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and driving operational excellence across the purchasing lifecycle. You will act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and continuity within procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Contract Management
- Manage the full lifecycle of procurement and public tender processes from initiation to contract implementation
- Ensure compliance with administrative, budgetary, and public procurement procedures
- Oversee major supplier agreements, contractual commitments, renewals, and deadlines
- Draft, review, and optimize procurement documentation and contractual specifications
- Develop contingency plans and supporting documentation to ensure operational continuity
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers and external partners in a professional and results-driven manner
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and define improvement actions to strengthen service quality and collaboration
- Translate business and functional requirements into clear procurement specifications in collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Analyze procurement requests, identify risks and opportunities, and provide practical, solution-oriented advice
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, documentation, and supplier strategies
- Share expertise and best practices within the team while supporting a collaborative environment
- Stay informed about market developments, supplier trends, and changes in procurement legislation
- Anticipate potential contractual or legal risks and contribute to preventive risk mitigation strategies
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 6 years of experience within at least two of the following areas:
- Public procurement, particularly within supplies and services
- Supplier negotiations
- Drafting and managing procurement contracts
- Strong knowledge of public procurement legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience managing procurement activities in a structured and deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a diplomatic and customer-focused approach
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks and propose practical solutions
- Collaborative team player who encourages initiative and knowledge sharing
- Result-oriented professional with strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
