A leading organization in the public and regulatory domain is seeking a Senior C# Developer to join a dynamic and collaborative product team in Brussels. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and enhancing robust inspection and reporting systems that serve critical operational needs. The environment emphasizes clean architecture, scalability, and high performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of features: from design to deployment and production monitoring

• Collaborate closely with product owners, analysts, and fellow developers to deliver impactful solutions

• Write maintainable, secure, and well-documented code while setting a high standard for the team

• Ensure the quality, security, and stability of all solutions you help develop

• Tackle complex technical and functional challenges hands-on

• Act with transparency and accountability, and continuously learn from both successes and failures

Your Skillset

Technical Expertise:

• .NET Expert: Extensive experience with C#, async patterns, and performance tuning in .NET 4.8, 6, and 8

• Entity Framework (EF6): Deep understanding of EF6 in legacy environments; EF Core knowledge is a plus

• Legacy Code Refactoring: Skilled in identifying technical debt and implementing effective modernization strategies

• SQL: Strong ability to write complex queries and analyze execution plans

• Azure: Experience deploying and monitoring applications via Azure Portal and programmatically

• CI/CD Pipelines & Git: Fluent with Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, Git-flow, and collaborative development practices

• Distributed Systems Concepts: Familiar with event-driven architecture, message durability, idempotency, and eventual consistency

• Front-End Proficiency: Solid understanding of Angular (TypeScript, component lifecycle, and state management)

Requirements:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in C#, .NET, SQL, and related technologies

• Fluent in Dutch and/or English (Dutch preferred)

• Familiarity with ICT in public-sector or regulated environments is a strong advantage

• Available to work on-site in Brussels as required
