Senior Cobol Developer

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Mainframe Developer to join our client’s team, where you'll contribute to the maintenance, optimization, and modernization of critical legacy systems. You’ll work in a complex IT environment with dedicated professionals such as analysts, project managers, and other developers.

Your Role

You’ll be part of a dynamic team managing essential enterprise applications. Your work will ensure the stability and evolution of key systems, while supporting both ongoing operations and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain COBOL applications (batch and online)
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in production environments
• Collaborate with functional analysts and users to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Document technical designs and changes accurately

Your Profile

You are analytical, autonomous, and solution-oriented, with strong technical and communication skills. You’re comfortable in a high-stakes environment and thrive in collaborative settings.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience with COBOL
• Experience with tools such as IDZ, and environments like CICS and DB2, VSAM, JCL
• Fluent in Dutch and English
