Senior Data Architect

Function

We're looking for an experienced Data Governance & Reporting Specialist to support our client's enterprise-wide data transformation journey. In this strategic role, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive the implementation of a modern data strategy, covering data governance, architecture, reporting, automation and data-driven decision-making. You will help shape a robust data ecosystem while promoting a strong data culture across the organisation and ensuring compliance with industry security and privacy standards.

The Role

As a Data Governance & Reporting Specialist, you will contribute to the definition, implementation and continuous improvement of the organisation's data management framework. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the development and maturity of the organisation's data governance framework.
• Coordinating data governance initiatives and monitoring project delivery across multiple stakeholders.
• Driving the adoption of data-driven solutions, including reporting, analytics, automation and AI initiatives.
• Defining and optimising the organisation's reporting strategy, including governance models for report development across business and IT teams.
• Contributing to the evolution of the enterprise data architecture, including data lineage and its alignment with business processes.
• Leading reporting automation initiatives in close collaboration with IT teams.
• Establishing prioritisation frameworks for reporting and analytics developments.
• Promoting data governance policies, standards and best practices throughout the organisation.
• Driving change management initiatives to increase data literacy, improve collaboration across departments and foster a strong data culture.
• Ensuring all activities comply with GDPR, ISO 27001 and NIS2 requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

You are a data professional with strong experience in data governance, reporting and enterprise transformation. You combine analytical thinking with excellent stakeholder management skills and are passionate about helping organisations become more data-driven.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Proven experience in data governance, data management or enterprise data transformation.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, reporting strategies and business process modelling.
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving both business and IT stakeholders.
• Strong communication, facilitation and change management skills.
• Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of data privacy, information security and governance frameworks.

Technical Skills

Candidates should have experience with several of the following technologies and methodologies:

• Business Data Solution Definition
• Data Modelling and Data Architecture
• Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN)
• Integrated Reporting (ETL, Data Warehousing, SQL and Data Cubes)
• Power BI
• SAP S/4HANA

• IT Transformation Programmes
• Test Management
• ITIL

Experience with AI-driven analytics, reporting automation and enterprise data governance initiatives is considered a strong advantage.
