Senior Data Engineer
Function
We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our client’s central data organization and help build high-impact analytical solutions. In this role, you’ll design and deliver data warehouses and data marts using the Kimball methodology, working with a modern Microsoft and Azure-based data stack. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary, agile team where data engineering, analytics, and business value come together.
Responsibilities
Working in close collaboration with data architects, functional analysts, and project leadership, you will:

Design, build, deploy, and maintain end-to-end BI solutions, including data ingestion layers, data warehouses, and data marts

Develop analytical solutions using the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SQL Server) and Azure Databricks (Delta Lake, Apache Spark, Python)

Ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and data volume

Test, troubleshoot, document, and maintain analytics solutions throughout their lifecycle

Create reports and visualizations using Power BI and/or SSRS

Present prototypes, demos, and data model explanations to business stakeholders, including knowledge transfer and training

Contribute actively throughout the full project lifecycle in an agile, pragmatic delivery model
The ideal candidate
You combine solid technical expertise with a strong sense of ownership and a data-driven mindset:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer using the Microsoft BI stack and Delta Lake

At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Python

Strong knowledge of Python for data engineering, including pandas and Apache Spark

Proven experience with dimensional data warehouse design using the Kimball methodology

Experience working in agile environments is a plus
