Senior Data Engineer

Function

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our client’s team, a large and complex organization operating in a mission-critical environment. This is a high-impact role where you will help shape scalable data foundations within a modern lakehouse architecture while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary IT teams.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will play a central role in designing, building and maintaining robust data solutions that support strategic decision-making.

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines within a lakehouse architecture

• Extract and integrate data from structured, semi-structured and unstructured sources

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL and Python

• Orchestrate data workflows using Airflow or equivalent tools

• Apply clean code principles and implement CI/CD practices in data engineering

• Ensure high standards of data quality, reliability and performance

• Design data schemas and create ERDs to model source domains accurately

• Contribute to containerized environments using Docker and related technologies

• Work with distributed data processing frameworks such as PySpark

Technical Profile

We are looking for a senior-level professional with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in:

• Data pipeline engineering within lakehouse environments

• Advanced ETL development in SQL and Python

• Data orchestration (Airflow or similar)

• Containerization (Docker)

• Schema design and data modeling (ERD)

• Implementing clean code standards and CI/CD pipelines

• Working with PySpark

You operate autonomously, take initiative and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
