Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for a skilled consultant to join our client's team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the technical quality and architectural alignment within the Data Engineering team. This position serves as a primary technical reference, bridging communication between Data Engineers and Data Platform Architects, and it requires someone adept in the Azure Data ecosystem.

You will be tasked with implementing new data pipelines and maintaining existing ones. Your expertise will enable direct intervention on crucial components of the Azure Data ecosystem, ensuring that the team adheres to high standards of technical quality.

The following technical expertise is essential for this role:

• Designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines within the Azure ecosystem.
• Expert proficiency in the following tools:
  • Azure Synapse
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Mapping Data Flow (MDF)
  • Databricks
  • PySpark
  • SQL
• Experience supporting data modeling efforts, ensuring robust and scalable data structures with a strong background in dimensional modeling (including star schema and Data Warehouse concepts).

• Familiarity with Power BI and experience in semantic data modeling.

Fluency in both English and Dutch is required for this position.
