Senior Data Engineer MS Fabric

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to join our client on an exciting journey of learning, implementation, and transformation with Microsoft Fabric. This is a hands-on consulting role where you’ll take the lead in building a modern data platform from the ground up while coaching and enabling an internal data team to confidently take ownership for the future.

The Role
As the lead consultant, you will drive the implementation of Microsoft Fabric end to end. You’ll design the architecture, build production-ready pipelines, and demonstrate best practices through real-world execution. Alongside delivery, you’ll play a key role in transferring knowledge, ensuring the internal team is empowered to maintain and evolve the platform independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle implementation of Microsoft Fabric, from initial setup to production-ready solutions

• Design and implement a robust Medallion Architecture aligned with industry standards

• Build scalable and reliable data pipelines using Python notebooks and Fabric Data Engineering capabilities

• Embed Power BI DevOps practices into the data development workflow

• Deliver hands-on coaching, workshops, and structured knowledge transfer sessions

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth handover and long-term success

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience implementing Microsoft Fabric in real production environments

• Strong background in Medallion Architectures, modern data pipelines, and Fabric-based solutions

• Solid proficiency in Python, notebooks, and contemporary data engineering workflows

• Working knowledge of Power BI, DevOps tools, and CI/CD concepts

• Excellent communication skills with a passion for mentoring and upskilling teams

• A hands-on problem solver who enjoys building, leading, and collaborating
