Senior Data Solution Architect Azure
Function
We’re looking for a Senior Data Solution Architect to join our client’s IT Solutions team and play a key role in a large-scale digital transformation. In an environment where data fuels innovation, this role offers the opportunity to shape a modern, future-proof data landscape that supports smarter infrastructure management, advanced analytics, and next-generation AI use cases. You’ll contribute to a broad enterprise modernization program with a clear purpose: turning complex data into meaningful insights with real-world impact.
Your Role
As a Senior Data Solution Architect, you are a driving force behind the transition to a data-driven enterprise. You bring structure to large and diverse data streams and translate them into strategic value. You design and evolve a robust enterprise data platform while preparing the foundation for AI-driven solutions, including Large Language Models (LLMs). You operate at both strategic and hands-on architectural levels, bridging business needs and technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design and support an enterprise-wide data governance framework covering data quality, lineage, security, and compliance
-
Architect and deliver scalable Data Products, from data ingestion and transformation to analytics and presentation layers
-
Prepare the data landscape for advanced AI use cases, including RAG architectures, LLM integration, fine-tuning, and vector databases
-
Implement solutions for unstructured data processing and automated classification (e.g. documents, emails) to enable analytics and AI
-
Act as a trusted advisor to IT and business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into sustainable data and AI architectures
Profile & Expertise
You bring at least 5 years of experience designing enterprise data platforms, including a minimum of 3 years in Azure-based environments. You have strong expertise in cloud-native data architectures and hands-on experience modernizing data pipelines toward platforms such as Databricks Lakeflow, dbt, or Microsoft Fabric. You understand the architectural impact of such transformations and guide teams through selection, design, and implementation, while defining best practices, reference architectures, and governance standards.
You have a strong AI-native mindset, with knowledge of data preparation and architectural patterns for AI and LLMs. Experience with data governance and cataloging tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, dScribe, or Informatica is essential. You are a confident communicator, comfortable working across teams and stakeholders in an agile (SAFe) environment with changing priorities. Experience integrating Azure data platforms with enterprise systems and SaaS solutions is a strong plus. Security by design is second nature to you, with experience operating in highly regulated environments and applying secure development practices, test automation, and quality assurance.
