Senior Data Warehouse Developer

Function

Our client is looking for a technical consultant to support the expansion of a financial data warehouse. This is a temporary consulting opportunity within an environment where core applications and integration layers support institutional operations. The assignment focuses on adding a new data source to an existing warehouse structure, including the related impact on dimensions and facts.

Responsibilities

• Extend an existing financial data warehouse with a new source system.
• Assess and implement the impact on existing dimensions and fact tables.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
• Contribute to reporting and dashboarding activities in Power BI.
• Translate business needs into data-driven insights, with a strong understanding of financial data.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in data warehousing and data modelling.
• Advanced ETL expertise.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), developed through the Visual Studio Integration Services Projects Extension.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
• Experience with Power BI reporting for building reports and dashboards.
• Experience handling financial data is a strong plus.

Profile

• Technical consultant with a solid background in warehouse development.
• Strong analytical mindset and able to work with existing data models and structures.
• Comfortable working in environments where business requirements must be translated into reliable technical solutions.
• Experience in the non-profit or academic sector is an advantage.

Practical Information

• Work arrangement: at least 2 days per week on-site.
• Languages: Dutch and English.
