Senior Database Administrator

Function

We are currently looking for an experienced Database Administrator to strengthen our client’s cloud and hosting division. You will play a key role in maintaining the stability and security of their SQL Server landscape across multiple datacenters, working in a dynamic environment that values both technical excellence and collaboration.

Responsibilities

As a vital part of the database team, your core tasks will include:

• Designing, developing, and supporting a secure and reliable Microsoft SQL Server environment.
• Collaborating closely with system architects and product owners to monitor trends and innovations in SQL database technology.
• Implementing and upholding security standards to minimize operational risks.
• Supporting teams with operational challenges such as performance tuning and database stability.
• Writing and modifying scripts using T-SQL, PowerShell, or Perl.
• Coordinating with offshore partners to ensure high-quality first-line operational support.
• Adhering to strict security and compliance guidelines relevant to the financial industry.
• Participating in an on-call rotation and executing scheduled interventions outside of business hours.

Technical Profile

You bring solid experience and knowledge in:

• Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022
• Windows Server 2019 and 2022 environments
• VMware virtualization
• SQL Server Always-On High Availability configuration and troubleshooting
• Scripting languages such as T-SQL, PowerShell, Python, or Perl
• Database performance analysis and optimization
• SQL backup and recovery solutions
