Senior Datawarehouse Developer

Function

We're looking for a skilled consultant to join our client's team, where you'll play a pivotal role in transforming raw business inputs into technically feasible metrics. Your mission will involve collaborating closely with business analysts and domain experts to ensure alignment between technical execution and business objectives. From translating innovative mock-ups into operational dashboards to ensuring high-quality performance, your contributions will be key to the team's success.

Responsibilities

Your primary tasks will include:

• Translating raw inputs into achievable KPIs within data models, while documenting technical calculation logic and selecting appropriate visualizations.
• Building and importing data models to create impactful visual representations, configuring interactivity features like filters and drill-downs for detailed analytics.
• Maintaining quality control and testing to ensure dashboard efficiency, validating figures against source reports and confirming proper security roles.
• Managing and resolving bugs while implementing changes based on annual KPI definition reviews.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Proven experience in data warehouse modeling and project-based work, ideally having worked with tools like Cognos or DataStage.
• Strong knowledge in data hygiene and the capability to identify and rectify inconsistencies within source data.
• Expertise in designing and using star schemas and dimensions.
• Fluency in Dutch at a European CEFR level of C2, as well as proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Technical Skills Required

In addition to the above, candidates should have:

• Experience with Cognos Report Studio and the ability to build complex reports and dashboards.
• A background in dashboarding, including the integration of data models and datasets into Cognos.
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles, ensuring adherence to branding guidelines while producing technical documentation and manuals.
