Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Function

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our client’s technology team and contribute to the development of modern web applications running on Azure Kubernetes Service. Depending on your expertise and the needs of the teams, you may work on customer-facing applications, shared IT services, data-driven solutions or technical initiatives that can be rolled out across multiple development teams.

You’ll work in an Agile environment and combine hands-on development with technical exploration, proof-of-concepts and continuous improvement. Strong experience with Java 17 or 21 is essential, while knowledge of the Azure ecosystem is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern web applications and supporting services in an Azure-based environment.

• Build scalable and maintainable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

• Develop responsive front-end applications using Angular and modern web technologies.

• Design and consume RESTful APIs and contribute to API-first development.

• Develop and maintain microservices and cloud-native solutions running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Contribute to shared technical solutions, development frameworks and reusable components.

• Investigate new technologies and technical approaches through proof-of-concepts and prototypes.

• Contribute to initiatives around AI, development tooling, testing frameworks and technical innovation.

• Work closely with product teams and other developers to translate functional and technical requirements into robust solutions.

• Apply software engineering best practices around version control, testing, CI/CD and code quality.

• Contribute to architectural and data-related topics where required.

Technical Profile

You have strong professional experience as a Full-Stack Developer, with expert-level knowledge of Java and solid experience across modern web development technologies.

Key expertise includes:

• Expert knowledge of Java, preferably Java 17 or 21.

• Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot.

• Strong Angular and HTML5 skills.

• Advanced knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.

• Experience with microservices and cloud-native application development.

• Good knowledge of Azure and Azure DevOps.

• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Docker.

• Strong understanding of Git, Maven, JUnit and Hibernate.

• Experience with MS SQL Server and relational data environments.

• Knowledge of Node.js, OAuth and OpenAPI.

• Familiarity with reactive programming and RxJS is an advantage.

• Experience with Spring Batch is a plus.

• Knowledge of data architecture, GIS and GIS data types is an advantage.

• Interest or experience in AI-related technologies and their practical application in software development.

You are an experienced developer who enjoys working on technically challenging projects and collaborating with Agile product teams. You combine strong hands-on development skills with a pragmatic mindset and an interest in exploring new technologies.

You are comfortable moving between frontend, backend and cloud technologies and can contribute to both product development and broader technical initiatives. You communicate clearly, take ownership of your work and enjoy sharing knowledge with colleagues. Experience with Azure and AKS will allow you to quickly contribute to the client’s cloud-native development environment.
