Senior Functional Analyst

We're looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to join our client’s team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that redefine the future of digital financial platforms. You will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering advanced features, ensuring top-notch quality, and supporting their seamless implementation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project leads, business analysts, UX designers, and interface teams, to deliver innovative backend features.
• Lead the creation, planning, and implementation of user stories that define new functionalities, ensuring alignment with delivery timelines.
• Estimate workloads for feature development and communicate progress or potential deviations proactively to stakeholders.
• Coordinate closely with QA testers to prepare detailed test cases and ensure robust business validation for all features.

Key Tasks

• Act as the bridge between development teams and stakeholders by:
  • Translating feature ideas into actionable tasks and coordinating the development process.
  • Supporting the rollout of new features to end users with clear, structured communication.
• Perform functional validation of completed features and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Oversee testing processes by assigning bugs, investigating root causes, and ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
• Maintain close contact with interface teams, ensuring timely delivery and quick assessments of progress on committed features.

The Ideal Candidate

• Demonstrates expertise in backend systems, with a strong understanding of architecture and scalability for future-proof solutions.
• Has experience in functional analysis, agile methodologies, and working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Possesses excellent communication and coordination skills to manage complex projects and diverse stakeholders.
• Thrives in a dynamic environment, capable of handling multiple tasks while ensuring timely and qualitative delivery.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Able to work onsite in Leuven offices (with teleworking).
