Senior Functional Analyst

We're looking for a skilled consultant to join our client's team as they embark on transformative digital projects in the public sector. This role requires at least five years of experience and proficiency in both Dutch and English. As part of a collaborative Agile team, the consultant will work closely with developers, architects, test analysts, project leaders, and fellow analysts to drive initiatives aimed at enhancing services in the social security and health sectors.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in project development, where their responsibilities include:

• Engaging with clients to understand their digitalization challenges and translating these into actionable concepts for developers.
• Conducting thorough business analysis and translating stakeholder needs into process analyses, functional, and technical designs.
• Monitoring project progress and maintaining quality standards while keeping the project manager updated on developments that might affect project timelines.
• Facilitating functional testing to ensure the final product meets client requirements, and providing necessary documentation and training for stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• A master's or bachelor's degree in an economic or technical field, complemented by relevant experience in the IT sector.
• Solid technical knowledge encompassing analytical methods, RUP, Scrum, data management, and development.
• Exceptional communication skills that enable effective interactions with stakeholders across various levels.
• Strong analytical and synthetic thinking abilities.
• Proven organizational skills and a team-oriented mindset, approach projects with efficiency, flexibility, and quality in mind.
• A proactive attitude, initiative, and eagerness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Essential technical skills for this role include:

• Agile development and Scrum expertise
• Functional analysis techniques
• Back-end technologies including web services and XML
• Basic knowledge of ICT infrastructure and architecture
• Business analysis and requirement gathering experience
• Front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS
• Application development capabilities
• Fluency in Dutch, with proficiency in English also required
