We’re looking for a Functional/ Data Analyst to join our client’s team and contribute to a high-impact, data-driven initiative within a risk and control environment. This strategic program focuses on centralizing risk insights, automating control follow-up, and delivering real-time monitoring through a modern digital solution. You will play a key role in translating complex business needs into clear functional designs that enable smarter decision-making and operational efficiency.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Functional/Data Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined and effectively delivered.

• Collaborate with stakeholders such as Risk, Compliance, Data Owners, and Process Experts to capture needs and identify pain points

• Analyze, challenge, and structure requirements into clear functional specifications

• Model current and future processes to uncover optimization and automation opportunities

• Design functional solutions including dashboards, alerts, workflows, data flows, user journeys, and reporting features

• Define business rules for automated controls and alerting mechanisms

• Ensure alignment with the broader architecture and strategic vision

• Support agile ceremonies such as refinement sessions, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization

• Validate deliverables during testing cycles and guide user acceptance testing

• Translate complex functional and data topics into clear, accessible communication for non-technical stakeholders

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Beyond delivery, you will help ensure long-term scalability and usability of the solution.

• Maintain high-quality documentation (user stories, process models, acceptance criteria)

• Identify opportunities to improve user experience, processes, and system efficiency

• Contribute to building a scalable, future-proof control and monitoring platform

• Actively promote best practices in functional analysis and agile collaboration

Must-Haves

• Proven experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role within digital or data-centric projects

• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills

• Ability to translate business requirements into clear functional designs for technical teams

• Experience working in agile environments (Scrum and/or Kanban)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Professional proficiency in English

Nice-to-Have

• Experience within risk or compliance environments

• Knowledge of process modelling techniques (BPMN, UML, or similar)

• Familiarity with dashboarding or monitoring tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik Sense, Splunk)

• Experience with workflow and automation tools

• Understanding of data models and APIs
