Senior Functional Analyst

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced functional analyst to help shape and improve information systems through strong functional design, clear analysis, and close collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams. This opportunity is suited to a professional who can translate business needs into practical system requirements and support enhancements from initial concept through to production.

Responsibilities

• Define the concept and planning for the preliminary analysis and design phase.
• Carry out functional analysis of information systems and prepare the functional design following the prestudy.
• Support changes and enhancements throughout the development lifecycle, including production deployment.
• Recommend and implement system improvements where needed.
• Develop new program requirements and specifications to address specific customer needs.
• Support system upgrades and help resolve issues in existing systems.
• Analyse service requests to assess feasibility, technology impact, required resources, and estimated project effort.

Profile

• More than 5 years of experience in managing the functional design of information systems.
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem solving.
• Comfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to make informed functional decisions.
• Awareness of IT security considerations in system design and enhancement work.
• Solid understanding of software development processes.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies.

Technical Skills

• Functional analysis and functional design of information systems.
• Definition of system requirements and specifications.
• Support for system enhancements, upgrades, and production transitions.
• Feasibility analysis, impact assessment, and effort estimation.
• Ability to work across business and technical domains.

Practical Information

• Methodologies and working style: Agile methodologies.
• Language requirements: Fluent Dutch and Fluent English.
