Senior Functional Analyst

Function

Our client is looking for two experienced functional analysis professionals to help shape and support a stable, secure IT environment. In this assignment, you will act as the bridge between business and ICT, translating user needs into clear analyses and supporting the implementation and maintenance of applications across multiple business areas.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document functional needs gathered from end users.
• Translate business requirements into technical and functional solutions.
• Support the internal application management team in the implementation and maintenance of applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as project leads, architects, and suppliers to clarify technical requirements.
• Compare and advise on technology choices, including hardware and licensing.
• Design and document functional and technical solutions.
• Monitor, maintain, test, and secure IT infrastructure and/or software applications.
• Validate functionality and help ensure tools and systems operate efficiently.
• Maintain data structures and/or system settings, including backup-related processes.
• Analyze, resolve, and follow up on application- and network-related issues.
• Provide second-line support to ICT colleagues and take preventive actions to reduce outages.
• Contribute ideas for renewal, optimization, and process improvement within the domain.
• Keep knowledge, documentation, inventories, diagrams, and management data up to date.

Technical Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in functional analysis.
• Experience with current analysis methods and tools.
• Experience working within small and mid-sized development teams.
• Background in development is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of agile development methods.
• Understanding of standard business processes, including administration, production, and logistics.
• Familiarity with BPMN, UML, and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of API design, service-oriented architectures, and event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of integration patterns and communication through services and events.

Profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in an ICT-related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and analyses in writing and verbally.
• Quality-driven and focused on customer-oriented service.
• Comfortable working with application managers and product owners.
• Independent, accurate, structured, and detail-oriented.
• Capable of working remotely with ease.
• Pragmatic and stress-resistant.
• Values safety, reliability, responsibility, and teamwork.
• Fluent Dutch.
• Basic French.
• Advanced English.

Practical Information

• This is a consulting assignment for two positions.
• Work is performed in connection with a site in Dessel.
• A company security clearance may be required; candidates should indicate whether they already hold one or foresee any issues obtaining it.
