We are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst to join our client’s team in a highly regulated financial environment. This role focuses on credit-related regulatory reporting (BECRIS) and combines solution redesign with operational involvement. You will play a key role in reshaping the current IT landscape while ensuring business continuity and regulatory compliance.
The Role
As a Functional Analyst, you act as the link between business and IT within a compliance-driven context. You take end-to-end ownership from analysis through testing and follow-up, ensuring high-quality delivery in a complex reporting environment.
You will contribute to the redesign of the existing BECRIS IT solution while also supporting and maintaining the current operational setup.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the redesign and optimization of the current BECRIS IT solution
- Gather and analyze business requirements in a regulatory reporting context
- Perform gap analyses and impact assessments
- Translate requirements into clear functional specifications
- Define and manage the test approach, including coordination and follow-up
- Support operational activities related to the existing BECRIS solution
- Ensure structured delivery with a pragmatic and results-oriented mindset
- Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders
Profile
- Proven experience with BECRIS and regulatory/compliance-driven reporting
- Strong business and functional analysis skills
- Experience in defining and managing testing strategies
- Structured approach with a pragmatic attitude and clear delivery focus
- End-to-end ownership mentality
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player
- Technical affinity with some of these skills: Open Systems, Oracle, SQL, PowerCenter, SAS, Perl, UAC, QlikSense
Practical Information
- Onsite presence in Brussels is required, combined with remote work
- Fluent knowledge of English is mandatory
- Good knowledge of Dutch is preferred
