Senior Functional QA Consultant & Quality Owner

We’re looking for an experienced Functional Test Analyst to join our client’s team and contribute to the quality assurance of large-scale digital platforms operating in a complex and highly regulated environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a quality-driven consultant who enjoys working closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure reliable, user-focused solutions across integrated systems and multiple platforms.

Role & Responsibilities

As a senior Functional Test Analyst, you will play a key role in validating business processes and ensuring end-to-end application quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle. You will work in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support high-quality releases.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Analysing user stories and functional specifications to ensure full testability of business workflows
• Designing and maintaining functional test scenarios covering business rules and end-to-end processes
• Identifying functional gaps, edge cases, and integration risks across the platform
• Managing structured test cases and regression suites in tools such as TestLink, Xray, Zephyr Scale, Octane, or equivalent
• Executing functional, integration, and regression testing activities across web and mobile platforms
• Tracking test execution progress and defect management activities
• Reporting on test coverage, execution status, and defect follow-up
• Collaborating with development teams to analyse, reproduce, and resolve defects
• Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business stakeholders
• Contributing to release validation activities and Go / No-Go recommendations

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in functional software testing
• Proven experience as a Test Analyst, Functional Tester, or Feature Quality Owner
• Strong expertise in test analysis, scenario design, and functional validation
• Experience working within Agile / Scrum environments
• Hands-on experience with Jira and test management tools such as TestLink, Xray, Zephyr Scale, Octane, or similar
• Experience supporting UAT campaigns in collaboration with business users
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured and detail-oriented testing approach
• Ability to identify edge cases, inconsistencies, and integration risks
• Strong focus on traceability, test coverage, and execution quality
• Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication and reporting skills
• Agile mindset and proactive, hands-on mentality

Preferred Experience & Languages

Experience in regulated or public-sector environments is considered a strong asset, as well as experience testing multi-system integrations and multi-platform applications.

Language requirements:

• Fluent in French or Dutch
• Good understanding of Dutch, French, and English
