Senior Game Developer

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced software developer to help build and evolve simulation software used for scientific research and study. You will contribute to the design, development, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement of software solutions while collaborating closely with a team of specialists to shape processes around software development and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software based on the needs defined together with the team.
• Program, maintain, and update software libraries as well as small and large applications.
• Contribute to the design of new software extensions.
• Document code and write technical documentation.
• Analyse and document the existing codebase and object model.
• Help develop and implement test strategies, including code review, unit testing, and regression testing.
• Support the development and implementation of release strategy and versioning.
• Contribute to improving processes and organisation around software development and deployment.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with C#, C++ .NET, and related .NET technologies.
• Experience with C/C++, C++/CLI, and C#/.NET development.
• Proven experience in object-oriented analysis and design.
• Experience developing application-based solutions.
• Solid coding skills with the ability to test and debug efficiently.
• Experience with Python and Fortran.

Practical Information

• Languages: fluent Dutch and fluent English. Dutch is required at CEFR level C2.
