Senior IAM Software Engineer

Function

We’re looking for a Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our client’s team. This role is suited for a seasoned specialist who can take ownership of IAM solutions, drive improvements, and act as a go-to expert within a complex IT landscape.

Role & Responsibilities

As a senior engineer, you will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing secure access management frameworks while supporting critical business systems.

• Own and maintain authentication and authorization solutions using OIDC, OAuth, and SAML protocols
• Manage the full lifecycle of digital certificates, including issuance, renewal, and revocation
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex IAM-related issues
• Contribute to architecture decisions and continuous improvement of IAM practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and scalable integrations

Profile & Skills

Our client is looking for a hands-on expert with strong ownership and the ability to operate independently in a senior capacity.

• Proven experience in a senior IAM engineering role

• Strong expertise in authentication and authorization protocols (OIDC, OAuth, SAML)
• Solid experience with certificate management and PKI processes
• Experience with Azure AD, Ping AM, and Ping DS is a strong plus
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to act as a technical lead when needed

Languages & Location

• Language requirements: English and Dutch
• Work location: flexible between Leuven and Mechelen offices
