Senior IT Network Engineer

Function

We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our client's infrastructure team and play a key role in strengthening and modernizing a complex enterprise network environment. This position combines operational support, network engineering, security compliance, and infrastructure improvement projects. The successful candidate will contribute to network segmentation initiatives, ensure the reliability of LAN and wireless environments, and support the continuous evolution of network services across both IT and operational technology environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, optimize, and upgrade the organization's LAN and network infrastructure.
• Configure, deploy, and manage enterprise switching, wireless, and network access control solutions.
• Monitor and remediate network-related security vulnerabilities and compliance requirements.
• Provide second-line technical support for network and connectivity issues.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives, including network design and implementation.
• Support data center operations, including hardware installation, rack management, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Configure and enhance network monitoring, alerting, reporting, and dashboarding solutions.
• Contribute to network segmentation and resilience projects across both traditional IT and operational technology (OT) environments.
• Manage and optimize network visibility, traffic analysis, and monitoring tools.
• Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation, including architecture designs, operational procedures, and change records.
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable security and regulatory frameworks, including data protection and information security standards.

• Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a proactive and hands-on approach.
• Ability to manage multiple infrastructure initiatives while maintaining operational excellence.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in environments where security, resilience, and compliance are critical priorities.

Technical Expertise

• Advanced knowledge of enterprise routing and switching technologies.
• Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, network redundancy, link aggregation, and traffic mirroring concepts.
• Hands-on experience with network access control (NAC) platforms and network management solutions.
• Experience with enterprise network operating systems and cloud-based network management tools.
• Knowledge of firewall administration and centralized security management platforms.
• Experience with network monitoring, IP address management, and performance analysis tools.
• Familiarity with operational technology (OT) networking and network visibility solutions is highly desirable.
• Understanding of information security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIS2.
