Senior Java Engineer

We're looking for an experienced consultant to join our client's dynamic and agile team, focused on developing innovative online services. Your role will involve delivering high-quality products that meet application architecture standards, user functional requirements, and the overarching ICT strategy. You will actively participate in technical workshops, learning from the latest trends and sharing your knowledge with colleagues. Collaboration is key as you'll work alongside developers, software engineers, analysts, scrum masters, and end-users to create user-friendly tools for various business units while providing regular feedback regarding project status to your internal stakeholders.

Contributing to best practices in developing a new architecture based on Azure will be a critical aspect of your position. You’ll take charge in a collaborative atmosphere and lead within a Java project team, determining application architecture, technical implementation, and Azure setup. Your initiative and creativity will be essential for proposing high-quality solutions. Furthermore, your extensive experience in developing microservices with corresponding API layers will be put to good use.

The ideal candidate is a team player looking for a diverse role that presents a range of challenges. Required qualifications include:

• Significant experience with Java tools, technologies, frameworks, and standards such as IntelliJ, Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.
• Proficient in continuous deployment and integration using Git, Maven, Gradle, Nexus, Bamboo, etc.
• Experience in developing or integrating REST services and working with event-driven architecture.
• Strong database development skills (SQL, relational databases, Cosmos DB).
• Proficiency in Java servers (e.g., Tomcat) and Docker.
• Extensive knowledge of Azure components such as Event Hub, Service Bus, Event Grid, Cosmos DB, AKS, Functions, API Management, Application Insights, Logic Apps, and Terraform templates.

Fluency in both Dutch and English is required, while knowledge of French is an asset.
