Senior .NET Developer
Function
We're looking for a Senior .NET Developer with strong architectural insight to strengthen our client's development teams. In this role, you will help simplify the integration and consumption of digital platforms and shared services by driving standardization, automation, and technical excellence. You'll take ownership of the full delivery lifecycle, from analysis and solution design to development, testing, and release, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment.
The Role
As a Senior .NET Developer / Technical Architect, you will play a key role in improving the interoperability and usability of digital solutions across a complex ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing functional and technical analyses to identify opportunities for optimization and simplification.
- Designing and implementing scalable solutions that improve integration, automation, and standardization.
- Analysing existing platforms and proactively proposing architectural and technical improvements.
- Collaborating with architects, developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to validate and refine solutions.
- Developing, testing, and releasing high-quality software solutions using modern .NET technologies.
- Supporting architectural decision-making and ensuring alignment with established standards and best practices.
- Taking an active role in Agile ceremonies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coaching team members and promoting knowledge sharing within the development teams.
Your Profile
We're looking for a senior technology professional who combines hands-on development expertise with strong architectural capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in functional and technical analysis.
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing .NET-based applications.
- Strong expertise in .NET 8, C#, ASP.NET, Web API/REST, and Entity Framework Core.
- Solid experience working within Agile environments (Scrum and/or Kanban).
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong background in software development and modern development frameworks.
- Fluent Dutch (CEFR C2 level).
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience leading development teams and coaching developers.
- Strong coding, testing, debugging, and software quality practices.
- Experience with AWS Cloud.
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, Clean Code principles, design patterns, and dependency injection.
- Experience with IoC containers.
- Experience in solution architecture or specialist architecture domains.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD tooling such as Git, TFS, MSBuild, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar technologies.
- Experience taking a leading role within Agile development environments.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development and testing frameworks such as MSTest, NUnit, JUnit, or Moq.
Working Environment
You'll work within distributed Agile teams located across multiple locations, requiring flexibility to collaborate both on-site and remotely.
