Senior Network Architect

Function

For a large international organization with multiple sites across the Benelux region, we are looking for an experienced Network Architect.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, management and optimization of the organization’s network infrastructure. You ensure secure, stable and high-performing connectivity between locations, offices and datacenters while supporting ongoing infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain a stable and redundant network environment connecting multiple sites.

• Manage and optimize MPLS connectivity, focusing on uptime, performance and availability.

• Configure and maintain switches, routers, firewalls and network segmentation.

• Ensure secure connectivity between offices and datacenters.

• Monitor the network infrastructure and proactively address issues.

• Implement automation to improve deployment speed, stability and security.

• Support documentation, knowledge sharing and adherence to network policies.

Profile

• 5+ years of experience in network architecture or network engineering in a complex environment.

• Strong expertise in network infrastructure and security, including technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, MPLS and enterprise Wi-Fi networks.

• Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.

• Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g. PowerShell) is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mindset.

• Ability to work across multiple locations.

• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
