Senior Network Engineer

Function

We're looking for a skilled network specialist to join our client's team, bringing expertise in various networking technologies. Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience in managing network infrastructures as well as an ability to engage with diverse projects and tasks. Flexibility in working arrangements is preferred and can be discussed during interviews.

Responsibilities and Role

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Managing and configuring network systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Utilizing tools such as Extreme Networks, Fabric, and Network Access Control (NAC) for network management.
• Documenting processes effectively to facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
• Engaging in standard office hours with occasional tasks outside these hours for project needs.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proven experience as a network specialist, with at least 5 years in the field.
• Familiarity with Extreme Networks and related technologies, including a solid understanding of network infrastructure.
• Strong background in system management and configurations pertinent to applied networking technologies.
• Experience with Routing & Switching, LAN, and WAN protocols.
• Security expertise, particularly in Palo Alto, will be what sets you apart.
• Fluent proficiency in Dutch at CEFR C2 level, as well as proficiency in English.

Additional Requirements

While the following skills are preferred, they are not mandatory:

• Experience with documenting processes for knowledge transfer.
• General network security knowledge.
• Familiarity with SD WAN and experience in sector-specific network protocols.
