Function

We're looking for a qualified consultant to join our client's dynamic team in their IT department. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in managing and optimizing database environments, particularly within Oracle systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include the administration and oversight of Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance through various management tools and techniques. Key tasks involve:

• Managing Oracle backups and recovery processes using RMAN.
• Maintaining and monitoring the performance of recent Oracle databases (12c, 18c, 19c) and ensuring high availability.
• Implementing security measures and managing user access at the database level.
• Troubleshooting Oracle-related issues and utilizing Oracle support resources as necessary.
• Overseeing installations and migrations of Oracle client and server software.

The successful candidate must have:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Proven expertise in managing Oracle database environments and familiarity with DBMS technologies.
• Experience with various database management systems, including but not limited to Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle DBA management software, such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, and experience with distributed Oracle environments.
• Familiarity with Linux and bash scripting is a plus.

The position requires fluency in both Dutch (C2 level) and English. Additionally, the following skills are preferred but not mandatory:

• Experience with database optimization and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming languages.
• Experience with central storage systems in conjunction with enterprise database systems.
