Senior Project Manager Atlassian

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to steer a complex and strategic Atlassian cloud migration initiative. The role focuses on leading the transition of their Atlassian toolset from a Data Center on-premise setup to a full Atlassian Cloud environment. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with deep migration experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage change across both IT and business domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of an Atlassian migration project (Jira, Confluence, Add-ons), including feasibility analysis, go-live execution, and post-migration stabilization
• Align closely with internal stakeholders across IT, DevOps, Security, and business functions to ensure a seamless and secure transition
• Oversee risk management and develop mitigation plans for both technical and organizational challenges
• Define and maintain scope, timeline, resource allocation, and budget control throughout the project
• Supervise and validate data migration activities, including tool selection (JCMA, CCMA) and test runs
• Drive internal communication and stakeholder engagement at every level of the organization
• Coordinate change enablement strategies, including documentation, user training, and process evolution for cloud optimization

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven track record managing enterprise-grade Atlassian migrations from Data Center to Cloud
• Excellent understanding of the Atlassian Cloud architecture, related tools (REST APIs), and governance considerations (compliance, security)
• Experience in agile methodologies such as Scrum, Agile, or SAFe
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities
• Skilled in managing stakeholders, third-party vendors, and multiple concurrent workstreams
• Familiar with enterprise IT environments, ideally with hybrid infrastructure experience
• Resilient, hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating high-pressure environments

Profile & Requirements

• Experience with enterprise-scale migrations and services integration, specifically with Atlassian (Must have)
• Atlassian certifications (ACP-120, ACP-620) are highly preferred
• Knowledge of ITSM, DevOps, and collaboration tools (Teams, MS Office)
• Strong leadership in people management, team coaching, and cross-functional coordination
• Languages: Fluent in Dutch, French, and English (minimum bilingual with strong understanding of the third)
• Availability for 60%, can be a fulltime when able to work on another project
