Senior Project Manager Data

Function

We’re looking for an experienced consultant to join our client’s team as a Project Manager, leading a strategic data integration modernization initiative. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end delivery of a complex transformation program focused on replacing a legacy on-premise ETL landscape with a modern, future-proof data integration platform. You ensure governance, planning, and execution across multiple Agile teams while aligning business, architecture, and delivery objectives.

Role & Responsibilities

• Act as Project Manager for a large-scale ETL and data integration transformation within a SAFe / Agile-at-scale environment
• Own overall planning, coordination, and delivery of the migration from legacy ETL (Informatica PowerCenter) tooling to a modern data integration platform
• Lead and coordinate RFI/RFP processes and vendor selection activities together with architecture, procurement, and external partners
• Define project scope, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria in close alignment with business and IT stakeholders
• Prepare and steer PI Planning activities, manage cross-team and cross-ART dependencies, and track progress against the roadmap
• Provide clear governance, reporting, and decision support to senior stakeholders

Key Tasks

• Identify and manage technical, organizational, and delivery risks, ensuring timely mitigation actions
• Ensure data governance, quality, security, privacy, and compliance requirements are embedded throughout the project
• Coordinate migration planning, validation phases, integration activities, and adoption milestones
• Support change management efforts, including communication and alignment with impacted teams and domains
• Drive continuous improvement by balancing delivery predictability with long-term transformation goals

Profile – The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex IT or data-related projects, preferably in data integration or ETL environments
• Solid understanding of modern data platforms and cloud-based data integration solutions; experience with Informatica PowerCenter ETL tooling is a strong asset
• Proven experience working within SAFe or other Agile-at-scale frameworks as a Project Manager, Program Manager, or similar role
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to bridge business and technical perspectives
• Structured, analytical, and comfortable managing complex transformation or migration programs
• Clear communicator with a strong sense of ownership and delivery focus

Other Requirements

• Fluent in English is required. Dutch proficiency is preferred.
• Able to work in Ghent or Leuven, combined with 50% teleworking
